Ballistic Testing Prices
The prices stated below reflect CFR’s General Pricing. For Custom Ballistic Testing or testing of odd shaped specimens that require special fixturing, please use our online Request a Quote form or contact us by phone to obtain an accurate Ballistic Testing price quotation. Also keep in mind these prices do not include shipping and handling charges in the case you need the tested samples returned. Please contact us by phone for any additional needs. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Time to Perform Testing
Our standard turn around time to perform ballistic testing is usually within 7 to 10 days. If needed, we can test your products within 24 hours at no additional cost. However, if we are fully scheduled at the time or your project requires additional set up time, a RUSH charge may apply to have them tested within the 24 hour period. Please contact us for scheduling and RUSH service pricing.

Reporting Options
The prices stated below reflect CFR’s General Pricing. If you require Test Reports, Photographs, and or Video Documentation, then add the cost of the following Additional Reporting Options to the testing prices.

Offering separate prices for the Ballistic Testing and Reporting Options works well for many of our customers. For example, if your are in the product development stage and your samples happen to fail the ballistic tests, you may not need reports stating the failures. In this case you can save some money forgoing the reporting options and just get the results by phone.

Reports, Photography, and Video Documentation Formats
Ballistic Testing Reports, Photographs, and Video Documentation will be submitted to you in electronic digital format. Ballistic Testing Reports are in Adobe® PDF file format, Photographs are in jpg image format, and Video is in Windows® Media Player format. For fast delivery, all documentation will be sent to you by email. If for some reason you choose not to have Ballistic Testing Reports generated for your project, we will then call you by phone and give you a summary of the test results.

* Ballistic Reports and Photographs are issued as one report and one set of photographs per sample. For example, If you choose the 2 Samples option, you will be issued two individual test reports and two sets of photographs.

** The video documentation offered for the prices stated above will show the projectiles impacting the test samples from the impact side at normal frame rate speed. If high speed / slow motion video is required, please contact us for a price quotation.

*** We provide the Online Project Management Service Free to our customers to illustrate the effectiveness of managing your projects online.

“Quick Shot” Service - No Recorded Data

The "Quick Shot" Service is offered to anyone who does not require testing. If you are interested in getting any type of item shot, then this service is great for you. For detailed information about this service, refer to the "Quick Shot" Service page.

Safety Margin and Failure Testing Plan Prices

The Safety Margin and Failure Testing plans are provided for those who would like to know the actual failure point of their products. The information gathered can be used for determination of a Safety Margin or for marketing / advertising purposes. Prices include your choice of caliber, shot spacing, and pattern. You can also choose to have a witness plate if desired. Witness plate options are: 0.125 inch thick corrugated cardboard, 0.020 inch thick 2024-T3 or T4 Aluminum foil alloy, #20 or #30 paper, or a spall catch box.

* If your samples require more than 40 rounds to cause failure, then a nominal charge will be added to the stated prices. For .50 caliber, Armor Piercing, or special ammunition requests, please contact us for a quote.
